La Maison du Carrior was a delightful surprise during my recent travels in France. Upon arrival, we were met with a warm welcome, making it feel like a home away from home. The hosts provided helpful information about nearby chateaux and even offered discounts. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, featuring a lovely sitting area and a flat-screen TV for some evening relaxation. Breakfast was a highlight; The homemade cakes and jams were very enjoyable. Although I wish for more variety, the essentials were covered with high-quality options. Having off-site bike rentals within walking distance made exploring the Loire Valley scenic and straightforward. While the overall experience was pleasant, there are aspects that fell short of luxury. The heating in our room was somewhat inconsistent, making it chilly at times. Some details in cleanliness were overlooked, impacting the overall value. Just be prepared to manage your expectations regarding certain amenities. A stay here certainly makes for memorable experiences, before hopping to your next adventure!
